Hi Everyone, welcome to my blog! It’s taken me a long time to finally get my act together and make this site, but now here it is for you to enjoy!
For those of you who don’t already know me; I’m currently finishing up my PhD in molecular biology, focusing on the anti-cancer properties of dietary antioxidants. I’m a keen science communicator/ SciComm content creator and have worked on a number of successful public engagement projects. In my spare time, I’m an avid creative: an illustrator, model and small-time YouTuber.
I have run several successful SciComm workshops for University careers services, private institutes and well-respected conferences. My skills and specialities include: research communications, social media for scientists, academic presenting and public speaking, lay-terms science communication and science in the media (print, radio and television). Get in touch if you would like to discuss hire for training workshops and events, or individual commissions.
Work With Me
Over the course of years I have contributed to numerous science communication and public engagement projects, ensuring that clients achieve both high impact and conversion rates. I have experience of research communications within the media industry and am increasingly keen to expand my portfolio with multimedia, creative communications and broadcast industry work. Please get in touch if you have a project you would like to discuss.
My portfolio showcases various academic and personal projects created throughout my doctoral studies and early SciComm career. At the beginning of my career, I made the careful decision to be both honest and personal across my social platforms, as well as maintain my academic brand; I feel this is extremely important for feminism, mental health and academic transparency.
